The Oscar's Style Alert - Asymmetrical Dresses!
Another hot hit for the 2008 Academy Awards ceremonials amongst the glamourous prima donnas of the industry were gowns with an aesthetically-pleasing asymmetrical neckline. Find out how you can hit the town looking like celebrated people Hilary Swank, Amy Ryan, and Rosamund Pike!
Hilary Chic always looks like a Million Dollar Baby on the reddish carpet, and have not only won awards for her dramatic playing abilities, but is also notoriously voted Best Dressed. With her perfectly toned arms, Hilary's lacing and tulle Artist'S Workroom Gianni Versace gown made her expression absolutely flawless and feminine.
Tip: When sporting an asymmetrical neckline, it is best to nothing the necklace, and instead pair off your ensemble with simple accoutrements - such as as a diamond bracelet, earrings, or ring. Try all three, but always in moderation!
Best Supporting Actress campaigner and Gone Baby Gone star Amy Ryan looked simply arresting in her Melvin Calvin Felix Klein Collection gown. She paired her over-the-shoulder gown with simple, dangling earrings and a Ag and diamond whomp bracelet, which fit perfectly with the gown's elegant midnight-blue color.
Tip: When it come ups to makeup, less is more! Amy is wearing very light-colored lip gloss and eye-shadows that are only a shadiness or two lighter than her natural tegument tone.
Rosamund Expressway of Pride and Bias fame, embraced the springtime season in a bright picket yellowness dress. Interior Designer Roland Mouret took us back into the 1940s with this vintage-inspired gown. Rosamund, with style savvy, braces this ensemble with simple hanging earrings and a single bracelet.
Tip: If you have got reddish or auburn hair like Rosamund, pale yellowness is a fabulous colour for you to experimentation with!
